The fun begins when hapless Homer Flagg (Lewis) learns from his physician Dr
Harris (Martin) that hes dying from radiation poisoning

When a New York newspaper reporter (Janet Leigh) hears of Homers plight she decides to do a series of articles on the unfortunate New Mexico man
Before she heads west however Harris informs Homer that the diagnosis is a mistake

But that doesnt stop them for accepting the reporters offer for a swanky trip to Manhattan where the two attempt to keep up the pretense in this side splitting comedy of errors.
